Monthly vs annual billing

You choose monthly or annual billing when you subscribe. That choice sets how often Stripe charges your card and when your plan renews. This article explains the difference, where to see your current cycle, and how to change it after you are on a paid plan.

Monthly and annual at a glance

Monthly billing charges your card about every month on your renewal date. Annual billing charges once per year for twelve months of access.

Annual prices are lower over a full year than twelve separate monthly payments. At checkout, Billing shows Save ~20% on the annual option. Exact amounts depend on your region and plan.

Choose your cycle when you subscribe

You pick monthly or annual before checkout, not after payment succeeds.

  • During sign-up: use the Monthly / Annual toggle on the Plan step
  • From Billing without an active plan: use the Billed toggle above Lite and Pro, then continue to Stripe checkout
  • Lite monthly includes a one-week trial; Lite annual and Pro on either cycle charge when checkout completes (see Choose a plan and subscribe)

How renewals work

Stripe handles recurring charges on the billing rhythm you selected. At the start of each period, Stripe charges the card on file so your workspace stays active.

Billing shows your billing cycle and subscription status in the plan overview when you have paid access. Open Subscription for the same details synced from Stripe, including the next period end date.

The Payments section on Billing shows a Next payment card when auto-renew is on. It lists the upcoming amount, plan, and due date. If you turned off auto-renew, you keep access until the current period ends and no next charge is shown.

Upgrade plan without changing the cycle

Moving from Lite to Pro on Billing keeps your current billing period. Monthly Lite upgrades to monthly Pro. Annual Lite upgrades to annual Pro.

Stripe shows a prorated charge before you confirm the upgrade. Trial rules still apply: upgrading from a Lite monthly trial ends the trial and starts Pro billing from that moment.

Switch between monthly and annual

Delora does not offer a separate monthly ↔ annual toggle on Billing after you subscribe. Your cycle is set at checkout and renewals follow it until you change it.

To move between monthly and annual while keeping Lite or Pro, open the Stripe billing portal from Billing or Subscription. Review any update or plan options Stripe shows for your account.

If you do not see a way to change the billing interval, contact support with your account email and the period you want. Stripe may apply a prorated adjustment when the interval changes mid-cycle.
