Understand session types and bookings
Every booking in Delora has a session type, a source, and a status. This article explains the session types clients can choose, the difference between bookings you add yourself and requests that come from your link, and how external and internal requests appear in your inbox.
Session types
Session types describe the kind of work a client is booking. Delora supports Photoshoot, Editorial, Runway, Commercial, Lookbook, Fitting, Campaign, Fitness, and Nude.
When someone books through your public link, they pick from the types you accept. You can mark types as rejected in Booking settings so clients see them as unavailable.
When you add a booking yourself, you enter the session type in the create form.
- Photoshoot, Editorial, Runway, Commercial, Lookbook
- Fitting, Campaign, Fitness, Nude
- Rejected types stay visible on your settings but not selectable by clients online
Online vs manual bookings
Online bookings arrive when a client submits a request through your booking link, website form, or Delora discovery.
Manual bookings are entries you create yourself from Bookings. Select Add booking in the page header to open the form.
Manual bookings are useful for shoots you arranged by phone, email, or agency. You can add date, time, session type, price, location, and notes.
If a date falls outside your working hours or has no open slots, Delora warns you but still lets you save a manual booking.
Internal vs external requests
An internal booking is one you created, or a request tied to a registered Delora client inside the platform.
An external booking comes from someone who submitted a public request without a full Delora client account, such as through your shared link.
In Requests, external pending items show as New Request with a Respond action. Internal pending items show as Pending.
Request cards label the source as External booking or Internal booking so you can tell them apart at a glance.
Where requests come from
Each request records a Source in its details. Common values include internal, link, website, and discover.
link means the client used your booking link. website means they used the form on your public site. discover means they found you inside Delora.
Knowing the source helps you understand how a client reached you, but your response flow is the same: review details, then approve or decline.
Booking status flow
New online requests start as Pending or New Request until you approve them.
After you approve, the booking becomes Confirmed and appears on Schedule.
When the session is done, mark it Complete from Requests or Schedule.
Past manual bookings added for dates already gone may save as Completed automatically.
What to do next
Use Configure booking settings to choose which session types you accept online and set buffers between sessions.
Use Manage booking requests to walk through approving, declining, and completing requests.
Keep Set your availability updated so online clients only see times when you are actually free.
